The big butterfly count is an annual UK-wide survey of butterflies, it’s taking place right now (until Sunday 6 August), and you can get involved. All you have to do to take part is find a place to sit outside for 15 minutes and record the number and species of butterflies you see in that place at that time, then log your results online.
