Visiting our site
Most uses of our site do not result in Fairfield Matters receiving any personal information about you. Those that do are listed below. WordPress.com, which powers the website, does collect information about you when you visit, and we encourage you to read their Privacy Policy as well as our own.
Online forms
If you contact us via an online from, we receive your name and email address, any information you include in your message, the date and time, and your IP address. We store this information only in order to respond to your query or request, or in order to pursue your story. We will not pass it on to anyone else unless required to do so by law. Since the online form is operated by WordPress.com, they may also record and store this and additional information about you.
Commenting on our posts
In order to comment on our posts you will need to sign in with WordPress.com, Facebook, Google+ or Twitter. We require signup in order to cut down on spam. Your name will be displayed alongside your comment, and both your name and comment will be emailed to us. Please remember that all comments on our website are public. We are not able to safeguard any information that you include in a public comment, although we will happily remove the comment from the site if we receive a message asking us to do so.
