Fairfield’s Pavilion Cafe opened its doors in October 2024 to create a community hub where good coffee brings people together. A space for connection and conversation. A non-profit partnered with Letchworth Cricket Club, and based, as the name would suggest, in the club’s pavilion, the cafe tested the water initially by opening only at weekends. It has made a great start: staff and volunteers at the cafe are passionate about serving our community, and they have put their hearts into making this a special place. But the winter has been tough. Rising energy bills and staffing costs have made things challenging, and through the colder months the cafe hasn’t always been the popular hangout it deserves to be.

However, with summer on the way, things are looking up, and the cafe has now announced that it will be extending its hours. With immediate effect, you can expect a warm welcome, fresh coffee and tasty treats from 8.30am to 8.30pm Monday to Friday, and 10am to 6pm at weekends.
