A gloriously sunny interlude in one of the wettest Junes on record helped to get the Fairfield Food Market off the ground on Saturday 22 June. Stalls from Lower Wilbury Farm, Gunns the Baker, Wobbly Bottom Cheeses, the Fairfield WI and the Fairfield Scouts received so many visitors in the first three hours that most of them were sold out and packing away half an hour earlier than expected. The FPRA plans to make the market a quarterly event, with new stalls welcome.
