Hannah Brown, who previously worked at The Orchard, is to undertake a gruelling 100km trek in aid of Clic Sargent.

The charity supports young people who are diagnosed with cancer, providing a range of support both to children and their families at what is the most difficult of times.

Not one to shy away from a challenge, Hannah, who is taking on the trek with friend Emily Hetherington of Fairfield, is aiming to raise £1,821. Her target represents the 1,821 new cases of children’s cancer reported each year – a figure which translates to five new cases a day.

You can find Hannah and Emily’s JustGiving page by searching for Hannah and Emily Brown. Alternatively find Hannah on Facebook as Hannah Louise. There will also be a donation point at The Orchard.

Hannah said to FM: “Thank you so much for supporting me in this challenge, this is such an incredible charity and childhood cancer is something that seems just incomprehensible, Em and I hope that this challenge goes a small way to providing the financial support the charity so deserves.”
