At their recent AGM and end-of-term Party in the Park, John Turner, Chairman of 1st Fairfield Park Scout Group, received a five-year service award from Biggleswade District Commissioner Rob Pullinger. John was appointed chairman at Fairfield in 2014 but his scouting service record goes back over 40 years. 

Having served as a scout leader in Luton from 1971 to 2005, John took a sabbatical during which time he moved to Fairfield. He was then approached and asked to help with the newly formed scout group here. Since then, with fantastic support from leaders and parents, the group has gone from strength to strength.
