On 30 November, the Christmas market in the Urban park was a wonderful way to get into the festive spirit. There were Christmas lights twinkling and Christmas songs playing away whilst residents browsed stalls belonging to local businesses. Crafty’s, the Letchworth-based beer shop, was offering warming mulled wine and mulled cider, The ladies from the Fairfield WI were selling some delicious cakes and bakes, Lower Wilbury farm offered fresh meat and veg and the opportunity to order for Christmas, and there was also a chance to try Cardona & Son’s Hitchin Honey Gin. Alongside all this, several local clubs were fundraising and other businesses selling their wares. The market was well attended and members of the community commented on how lucky we were to have it on our doorstep. Thanks to the FPRA for organising!
