Since there were seven candidates for seven seats on Fairfield Parish Council (FPC), all seven candidates will become councillors and there will be no election of parish councillors for Fairfield at the upcoming local and parish council elections on 4 May. Here, we introduce you to the three new councillors who will be joining FPC in May, in their own words. In our June edition we will include similar pieces from the four existing councillors who will continue into the new term.

Marcia Epstein

I have lived in Fairfield Hall for close to six years. I have a great interest in our community and have previously been a director at the Hall, am a current member of the community Speed Watch team and started the Helping Hands Good Neighbour initiative at the Hall during covid. My day job as an IT Project Manager keeps me busy but I am excited to be able to start to add some value to everyone via the parish council.

Neil Jones

I moved with my wife to Fairfield Hall in 2005. Since that time we have seen considerable changes to the Fairfield neighbourhood. I worked for many years in financial markets in the City of London followed by a few years working in software companies with the final 13 years at the London Clearing House. Long working hours had precluded me from too much involvement in local life but since retiring a few years ago, I’ve been able to participate more fully, being involved with local charity work predominantly 1st Fairfield Park Scout Group. My decision to stand as a local councillor was a natural progression in my participation in community affairs and I look forward to serving the people of Fairfield as a parish councillor in the coming months and years.

Tracey Riley

I live at Fairfield Hall with my husband Chris. We moved in 2018. We have three children, who live locally, and a couple of grandchildren. I work full time as a purchasing and production manager, for an engineering company near north London. I am also responsible for the three ISO standards that we hold and the health and safety compliance. I am a director at the Hall as well. I am passionate about where I live and love the small village feel of Fairfield. I would love to enhance the wildlife and green spaces in our village. I spend my free time playing tennis, belly dancing, lifting weights at the gym and learning golf.
