Fairfield Community Church gave out 210 Easter eggs following the Family Treasure Hunt and Easter Experience on Palm Sunday (25 March). It was a bustling community event. Clues took children on a lovely walk around Fairfield in the much needed sunshine – a great way of enjoying the beautiful environment in which we live. The walk ended at the Community Hall, where there was an Easter Experience telling the story of Easter from Palm Sunday through to the Empty Tomb. Activities included one in which children decorated plates with their faces and then joined Jesus and his disciples for the Last Supper. A fantastic visual experience for all ages and a good reminder that Easter is not just about Easter eggs. Rev Neil Whitmill (pictured below in his tunic) said “Our busiest yet! Lovely to see the community out together and sharing the Easter Story.”
An egg-cellent egg-stravaganza
