Fairfield Wine Group presents eight wines (usually four whites and four reds) on the last Friday of each month: sometimes with an intro­duction, sometimes blind, often in pairs for easy comparison, and always on a theme. Members sit at round tables to taste, discussing preferences with their neighbours, nibbling cheese and crackers, and chatting – mostly about the wine. After the tasting, top up with your favourite and mingle.

Meetings are usually on the last Friday of the month (although this does vary), 8.15pm, £10. The wines are bought in advance so you must join the email list and reply to confirm attendance.
