Fairfield Youth Club, which until recently was oversubscribed and having to turn people away, has seen such a significant drop in attendance levels over the last few weeks that the committee has taken the decision to close early for the summer. Volunteer numbers are also low, yet residents polled on Facebook at the end of June voted overwhelmingly in favour of keeping the club open. Anyone with ideas to put forward or time to volunteer is asked to email fairfieldyouthclub@gmail.com. The club currently plans to reopen in September.
