If you have a few hours to spare and would like to put them to good use improving our surroundings, sharing your skills with others or just giving something back to the community, Fairfield offers plenty of opportunities for volunteering. This month we are featuring our very valuable delivery team – read on to find out more.

Who are they? A group of people who are happy to commit half an hour every month to ensure Fairfield Matters is delivered on time.

What do they do? They deliver this newsletter, usually around 100 copies, and usually to houses or apartments very close to their own.

Who can join? Anyone who is able to commit to delivering an issue once a month, usually on the first weekend of the month. If you regularly walk around Fairfield anyway – with a dog or with a buggy, for instance – you are an ideal candidate.

Where and when do they meet? There’s no need to meet (if you want to meet us, consider joining the editorial board). Copies are delivered to your door and you distribute them from there in your own time.

What’s in it for me? The chance to read Fairfield Matters before anyone else, and an excuse for a nice walk in beautiful surroundings!

How can I get involved? Email editor@fairfieldmatters.com to let us know you’re willing to help.

Why now? Most of our current helpers are happy doing what they do, but a few have had to give up recently and we’d like to keep our numbers up to avoid overburdening anyone.
