An Afternoon with Fanny Trollope

10 Mar 2019 3–4.30pm, £8.

Fanny Trollope was the mother of Anthony Trollope. She took her family to the USA in 1829 planning to experience living in a utopian community. They set up a business which failed and after a year’s travel and adventure returned to England. Mrs Trollope published her experiences in her first book ‘Domestic Manners of the Americans’. Tea and cake will be served. 

Irish Gin Tasting Evening

16 Mar 2019, 7pm Price £27.50 (which includes four gins to try)

Why not celebrate St Patrick’s slightly differently this year and come along and try some Irish gins? You will be in the expert hands of The Hertford Gin Club. Tables of 4 or 6 can be booked and individuals are also most welcome. To help the gin go down there will be a cheeseboard for each table. Doors open 7pm for a 7.30pm start.
