The FPRA has recently received news of a second successful grant application, this time from the Woodland Trust, that will see an enormous 420 saplings delivered to Fairfield in November.

We have sadly lost quite a few trees on Fairfield in recent years and gaps are beginning to appear in our shelter belts and in other areas. These new saplings will help to reverse that trend.

The FPRA will be holding discussions with other key organisations over the next few weeks, with a view to developing  a global planting plan. Many volunteers will then be required to help with the planting in November – if you’d like to be involved, watch this space.
