Fairfield Art Group continues to meet fortnightly at Fairfield Community Hall, with a friendly group gathering to make art together. The group has tried out some different techniques and approaches to painting during the past few months. These have included applying watercolour washes and lifting paint to create an image, Neurographic drawing, and a form of mono printing. This last technique, where colours are transferred by printing from one piece of paper onto another, inspired a great idea for Christmas – as seen in a delightful card by Jeanette Mills (header image). The group restarted after Christmas on Monday 17 January. Each session is from 10am–1pm and costs £5 per person, with free tea and coffee. Bring what you like to work with. You can choose what you prefer to work on, or opt to try the ‘theme’ for the day. Support and advice is given if needed.
