The following Community Events are planned for 2022:
Community market
Saturday 2 April, Urban Park
Organised by Fairfield Parish Council (FPC). If this event is well supported, there are plans for it to be repeated quarterly.
Easter egg hunt
Tuesday 12 April, Urban Park
Hosted by Fairfield Community Church.
Jubilee beacon lighting ceremony
Thursday 2 June, Urban Park
The beacon purchased by FPC for the centenary of World War One will be reused – the top, which currently reads WWI, will be replaced by a crown and some words celebrating Elizabeth II’s reign. This event is still to be arranged, but we anticipate involvement from FPC, the Fairfield management groups, Fairfield Bowls Club, the Fairfield WI and the school.
Outdoor film screenings
Friday 3 June, cricket pitch.
A large screen will be erected and residents will be invited to three film screenings:
2–4pm a children’s animated film
5–7pm a family film
8–10pm a more adult film
Up to four food vendors will be invited and there will be a bucket collection for donations towards the cost of screen hire from those residents who attend.
Jubilee weekend street parties
There will be no community-wide events planned for Saturday 4 or Sunday 5 June, leaving plenty of opportunity for smaller neighbourhood gatherings.

Sunday 27 November
