Gel Plate Printing is a simple way to create interesting monoprints without the expense of a printing press.  At the art group this month, Val showed the others how to use a gel plate and some of the different techniques that can be used.  She shared some examples of her own prints, which may be used for card making or collage, or as a small original to mount and frame. 

This was a practice session for a workshop Val’s running in August at The Settlement in Letchworth.  Most of the art group members had a go.  The results were colourful with mixed feelings about whether they’d try it again!
