The dry cleaner next to Tesco closed at the end of July amid much speculation about what is to replace it. Fairfield Matters is confident that a new Garden House Hospice shop will be opening in that spot soon, although their management will neither confirm nor deny.
The Garden House Hospice, based in Letchworth, provides free specialist care for people living with life limiting illnesses. It already has eight successful shops in Letchworth, Hitchin, Baldock, Stevenage and Royston raising funds towards the £3 million needed annually to run its services. We look forward to seeing how the new shop fits in Fairfield.
