In December, we featured a few of the more obvious spaces available within Fairfield for hosting a large party or event; this month we look at the fully catered option. The Orchard has always been popular for private functions, but did you know that you can hire the space for something as low-key as a book club as well as for a full-blown party? And if you have a meeting to organise, there’s another little place you might not have considered.
The Orchard Restaurant
Planning your perfect event can be overwhelming to say the least. It starts with decorations and finishes with the dreaded post-party clear up. What should be a fabulous celebration, can soon become quite stressful! The Orchard Fairfield is one of those special gems that can, and does, take care of everything.
With friendly and professional staff, the team – led by husband and wife Steve and Harriet – will work closely with you to organise a celebration that oozes perfection and of course a lot of fun!
The Orchard is available for private hire on Saturday evenings, giving you exclusive use of the venue. Alternatively, you can hire the mezzanine floor in isolation at different times throughout the week. There are lots of options! We can help to decorate, source bespoke cakes, serve arrival drinks and provide a buffet spread to suit every requirement and occasion. We’ve even created cocktails.
From milestone birthdays to hen parties, baby showers to Christening days, Disney princess tea parties, live musicians, discos, a donut wall, inflatable brides and grooms, and let’s not forgot the Indian drummer – we have seen it all and it’s been a pleasure to be part of some of your special celebrations. We’ve also been privileged over the years to host some of your more public events, many of which have raised funds for deserving charities near and far.
More recently we’ve hosted book clubs, a Christmas fayre and craft nights, becoming a central hub for your local community and we only want this to continue.

Fairfield Bowls Club
Although we are not available for parties, we do hire out our clubhouse occasionally for small meetings. The opportunity is restricted mainly to the close season between October and March as during the bowling season the clubhouse is virtually in constant use with matches, practice and coaching sessions, meetings and maintenance.
