The event will take place in Etonbury Wood, and the plan is for groups from each of the three parishes (Fairfield, Stotfold and Arlesey) to walk along the Green Wheel routes from their parishes and congregate in  Etonbury Wood. The Fairfield group will meet at the obelisk in Palmerston Way at 1pm, walk through the new Orchard Nature Trail and down West Drive to join the Arlesey group, and go on to Etonbury Wood from there. Dogs on leads are very welcome.

If you don’t want to walk to Etonbury you can just join everyone at the Wood. Parking will be available at the Fox and Duck pub in Stotfold, just adjacent to the wood; they will also be hosting a BBQ from 2pm, and there will be free fruit provided by Tesco and the Co-op. Local leaders will guide adventure walks through Etonbury Wood, or you can explore and enjoy it on your own.

The walking groups will converge at 3pm for a couple of speeches (short and sweet!) and ribbon cutting. As well as exhibits about the Green Wheel’s history and details of its routes, local groups are invited to put on a display.
