Sunday 27 November kicked off Fairfield’s Christmas season with a tree-lighting ceremony complete with music, mulled wine and mince pies. There was no real snow this year, but the entertainment included a snow dome. Fairfield’s WI installed a knitted topper on the postbox on Dickens Boulevard just before the lighting up ceremony, and it has been much admired by passers by.

On Saturday 3 December, Fairfield Community Hall hosted a festive Christmas wreath workshop led by Nadia from Flourish and Wild, and we saw a few of the results hanging on doors around the parish.
