This year’s London Marathon, which took place on Sunday 22 April, was officially the hottest on record, with a temperature of 24.1ºC recorded in St James’ Park. Difficult conditions, you might think. However, that didn’t stop our four Fairfield runners. In spite of all claiming not to be very good at running, they all got round in under 512  hours – but a special shout out has to go to Jane Bennett, who, despite being the only girl of the bunch, came in fastest in 05:04:40. They also all smashed their fundraising targets, raising an incredible £13,852.40 for charity between them. Well done to you all, and to any other Fairfielders who ran!
