Fairfield Park FC ended their 2018–19 season on a high, winning their penultimate match against The Albion to land third place in the table – their best result since starting in 2014 – and guarantee promotion to Division Two of the Hitchin Sunday Football League.
In the last match of the season they played unbeaten league champions MBDA but limited their losses to 4–2, a far more positive result than the 6–0 loss against the same team at the start of the season.
Next for FPFC is to host a 6-a-side tournament at the Pendleton Centre on 20 July. Shoot them an email if you’re interested in entering a team – they are hoping to attract interest from players of all ages.
